Become a Client

We invite anyone in need living in the municipality of Oak Bay to access our services. Our volunteers provide one-to-one services to individuals of any age who need short term or long term assistance. If you or a loved one would like to Become a Client, phone the OBVS Helpline at (250) 595-1034. You will be directed to our Outreach and Services Coordinator who will ask a few preliminary qualifying questions and discuss our services and programs with you.

To ensure the highest level of health and safety for our clients and volunteers during the COVID-19 pandemic, we will continue to offer services following our health and safety protocols, which employs the use of non-medical face masks, sickness and travel policies and other hygiene requirements. Additionally, we will now be requesting proof of full vaccination for COVID-19, or documentation supporting a medical or religious exclusion to this requirement.

Please note - The Community Volunteer Income Tax Program (CVITP)

To qualify for income tax services, you must be a resident of Oak Bay and identify as a senior, newcomer to Canada or person living with a disability. For a list of other CVITP agencies in Greater Victoria, click here.
